Small Businesses Going Solar

SunCommon has installed thousands of small solar installations. Now we want to use that expertise to help out more small businesses going solar.  We’ve already helped many small businesses from a berry farm to a mattress store and more. With new, zero down-4.24% VSECU loan for qualified small business owners, you’ll be able to save 10-30% on your electric bill while helping the environment.

Don’t wait, get started today to save the most possible.

Solar is a great investment for your business. A 30% federal ITC and 7.2% Vermont state ITC, coupled with 100% bonus accelerated depreciation means your solar array can be cash flow positive the first year. New York commercial customers are eligible to receive a NYSERDA rebate of up to $.45 per watt for solar projects*(not all projects qualify fo the NYSERDA rebate).

Some of these incentives are dropping! 2020 will usher in a 13.35% drop in the overall ITC benefit, and July 1, 2019 will bring a 30% drop in the Vermont solar adder credit (what your utility credits you to produce renewable energy).

How to save up to 50% on commercial solar.

Commercial solar systems can draw on four sources for savings: the federal tax credit, the state tax credit, federal accelerated depreciation, and the state net metering incentive. So many options for discounts can translate to recouping nearly half of the cost of your system in your first year, and more in the following years.

Roof Mounted Solar Systems

Roof mounted solar panels are a great option. This requires a roof that has been built with the proper materials, that has the right orientation, and that’s the correct size needed for your system. Send us your address, and we will look at your roof to determine if this option will work for you.

Ground Mounted Solar Systems

Ground mounted systems can be a terrific option for homes with smaller roof space or roofs that are shaded or have the wrong orientation. The advantages of ground mounted solar include that its size isn’t as restricted, and we can point it directly at the sun to get you the best energy production. We are happy to look at your property to determine if a ground mounted system could work for you.
